All of these case studies are from Huntress, a small cybersecurity SaaS startup. They build all of their security tooling in-house, they don’t rely on outside threat vendors to power their products. Not only do they make the tech, they also have the experts, with a human-run Security Operations Center (SOC). Other IT teams and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), that aren’t able to have their own fully-staffed security team, use the Huntress service to cover their security needs. Huntress was founded in 2015 as an engineering-led company. The first designer wasn’t brought on until 2021 and I was the first writer who joined in 2023. It made for a lot of green field to establish a content practice across the entire company.
