I’ve written for a lot of different products.

Physical hardware and networking, virtual and cloud SaaS infrastructure, endpoint security, endpoint managment, search, observability, and even more security like indicators of compromise and threat intelligence libraries. Lemme play with it and I’ll figure it out - while getting to know who it’s intended for and what they want out of it.

Work places of all sizes offered unique advantages and had challenges in each stage of their lifecycle. Large, established environments taught me about adhering to guidelines and managing change on a massive scale. Smaller organizations meant rolling with the changes, context switching at the drop of a hat, and creating processes out of the chaos. I’ve witnessed multiple content migrations, product line integrations, and company acquistions, as well as divestiture. I’ve been through a late stage startup environment and through it’s IPO.

I’ve seen some things.

​

The one constant, in all of this, is that users (people) want to do good work and they need help sometimes to do it. That help comes from a well-designed product with content that is meaningful, timely, and accurate. I see everyone as a user - whether that means the potential trial user converting into a paying account, or the support colleague who needs the docs to walk someone through how to upgrade without blowing up their stack.
